The Path of Redemption
Andy is a feisty fellow. An albino Aussie Shepard that is mostly blind, almost completely deaf and a butt that wiggles at the speed of sound.
When I first met him, I was told he had quite frequently present angry side. I was also told to avoid approaching him from his completely blind side.
Boy did he ever have an angry side. When I first met him he was just one angry boy.
Then one day when just reaching to help him I approached the wrong side. His tooth gripped and I jerked and it tore. I still have the scar today.
True Remorse

Something remarkable also happened that day. He showed remorse. He showed me in his posture and head he was sorry. It was as if that bite was the last of his anger and he realized he hurt someone.
From that day forward he has seemed to be a completely different dog. I honestly have not personally seen him angry since that day. He greets me as if I’m his best friend in the whole world.
Those tailless butt wiggles are legendary.
I look forward to them every time I visit. He lays at my feet when I’m over and visit.

He is one of my favorite pets and I wish I could hang out with him more when I visit. He even shows sadness when I leave. He isn’t my dog, but he is a member of my extended pack family. He is one of the many who has helped me find the Path of Rest.

Our friendship started off rocky and painful, but it’s a friendship I cherish.
Yours Forever Grateful, and Andy
