Life is in our shoebox and Jesus died for our sins is the same phrase in my eyes.
Throughout the day we fill up a shoebox that we will Show and Tell to Jesus, God or whichever Spiritual Guide you feel comfortable associating with. When our life comes to an end, almost all beliefs have some type of atonement or banishment.
Most my stories discuss the Maya Express and that our life on earth is the literal location of Hell. The Shoebox is the key to getting off the train and out of hell forever.
Life is in our shoebox.
We collect things in our shoebox based on how we TREAT others, ACT towards others, THINK about them, and how they treat us. Not just humans, but animals, and most importantly, ourselves.
Then whenever the time is up for us to go to sleep, we spend the night emptying most of it back out and discussing with our Spiritual Guide the items.
Doesn’t matter what we did for what profession or what boss, country, flag back months or even years before. None of that matters. Your career does not matter when our life has come to an end. You are discussing what is in that shoebox today. Atoning for what we are willing to face (those “sins Jesus died for”) and leaving inside what’s left in the box for another day.
Fresh Start.
The next time we arise from bed, we are left with what items define who we are at that moment. It doesn’t define us based on our sins; the items define us by how we use what they represent to us at this moment. The objects left in the shoebox from the night before, is where our fresh start is today.
Unfortunately, it’s not just the good things we do throughout the day that gets put in that shoebox.
- Whether it is a sin such as theft, murder etc
- An object or person we obsess over everyday.
- A job we concentrate on more than our family.
- A electronic device we stare at more than people.
Whether you want it in your shoebox it goes in there anyways.
You literally put it in there.
Our shoebox is only large enough for shoes that fit our feet.
Taking it out, oof. That’s where ego and pride keep them from being removed. They keep us from being a better person.
Each day as I accumulate things I think about them more often as they go in. Trying carefully to place items to show and tell that I could be proud of.
Sometimes I let life, trauma, and instincts take over and make mistakes. they still go in the box.
Talking about them tonight, may help shape my instincts to act differently tomorrow. Facing our mistakes, removes the unnecessary clutter from our shoebox.
The Shoebox doesn’t define you
A murderer with total remorse and understanding of their actions and spent the rest of their life making amends; and a priest who spent his life in service of God preaching his version which was hateful but very profitable.
Who has the shoebox at the moment of death worthy of Show-And-Tell to God?
The things you put in the shoebox aren’t what truly define you. It’s the things you leave in the box whether good or bad, that defines you. Those things that when asked by your Spiritual Guide “who are you today?” You can take out and Show-And-Tell them what each item means.
What things do you want to put in that box everyday? What things do you want to show God when your time is called to the front of class? Just be Mindful of your Intentions and Gratitude will be abundant.
Yours Forever Grateful
