In the context of spiritual life often we assign titles to the spiritual guide.  God, Allah, Jesus, Krsna, Buddah, maybe you have a hard time believing in such a person, what about a deceased relative or even mans best friend.  Whomever you see as the spirit soul that guides you on your path right now.  Whomever you would sit down with tomorrow morning and discuss your deepest loves and regrets of the previous days actions. When you see a word for spiritual guide that bothers you, use another word that helps you feel the intention of this story.
