We are all now walking this path with our Spiritual Guide, every soul, their own Path. Where we are depends on where we started. Whom we walk with depends on the Path we are taking this lifetime. Which may be based off previous lifetimes progress.
In the context of spiritual life often we assign titles to the Spiritual Guide. God, Allah, Jesus, Krsna, Buddha, maybe you have a hard time believing in such a person. What about a deceased relative or even man’s best friend. Whomever you see as the spirit soul that guides you on your Path right now. Whomever you would sit down with tomorrow morning and discuss your deepest loves and regrets of the previous day’s actions. When you see a word for Spiritual Guide that bothers you, use another word that helps you feel the intention of this story.

The Illusion of Fun
As I walk this path with God, I see the train going by all the time. It looks like a lot of fun. People I am connected to and have grown my spiritual love with over current and previous lifetimes are on that train.
I look over to God and say “That looks like fun; maybe we should go”
God says “If you choose to get on the train that is your choice, but I will not be on there; I will watch from a far until you come back”
It looks like a lot of fun.
So, I look over and say, “I’m just going to say “HI” and be right back.”
I step on the train.

Lost in Illusion
We get on the train cart often.
Sometimes we ride the train for an hour, a day, a month, a year, a lifetime on that cart and go to the next one.
The cart we are on has tables full of friends, families etc. We sit at those tables and sometimes our friends and families leave and go to the next cart, sometimes we later follow them.
Some tables tell us we can’t get to heaven without sitting at their table and their table only.
Some people destroy other persons tables over the argument about where the train is going.
We get on that train and sometimes get lost.
As we change from one train cart to the other, regretfully….. we forget the events of the previous cart. We feel the connection of Love we built with others in previous lifetimes, but no memories.
Uncovering the veil
As I’m riding the train, after a while ……
I remember my Friend who was on that dirt Path and wonder if I can find Them.
I search throughout the cart until I wipe away this film on the train cart window and realize
I’m on a train called The Maya Express.

You see in Bhakti we say Maya is the illusionary material world we live in. She paints the window to our hearts with a film that makes us focus on the cart we are on and not on our Spiritual life….
I should step off and go talk to my Friend.
How am I going to get off the train?
Not until I intentionally want to spend my time with God more than Maya do I just step off and take a leap of Faith.
Leap of Faith
When we land on the ground, we look around and what do we see?
The Lotus feet of our dear Friend, our Spiritual Guide.
They stand there smiling and have Their hand extended to help us stand back up.
Then we stand back up and…… we are still exactly where we were on the path. The train went nowhere. All those fighting on the train’s destination
and and and
Our Spiritual Path only progresses, when we are working on it, within ourselves, not forcing our views on others.
First of All!!!
What’s the first thing we do when we turn our true intentions back on our Spiritual Path?
We complain about all the people and all the events that happened while we were on the Maya Express.
Do we ask for help on our Path?
Ironically most of the time the help we are asking for is actually for something on the train.
Not on our Spiritual Path.
Most of the time, even many times when we think we are doing so, we know our intentions aren’t that true.
Only when we step away, take that leap of faith from everyone else and the world and focus back on our Spiritual Guide do we grow our Spiritual Path.

Won’t you join me?
Sometimes we walk this Path with friends, as me and you reading this walk this Path together right now, right this second.
Many people in this world step off the train for an hour on Sunday.
Sometimes they get dressed to step off the train and pretend to step off the train, but really they aren’t present during that hour. They are sitting at a table on the train cart full of those who dressed for Sunday at least. It’s just a check list item. Sadly, many people want to destroy each other over how the other person is walking their own Path.
My Path isn’t your Path. Each Soul has their own. I have decided with some friends’ encouragement to share my Path or at least my viewpoints. Whether you walk along my Path with me, or disagree with my Path, your approval isn’t my intention. My intention is to help inspire others to follow their Path. I will spend the next days, weeks, months who knows how long sharing my thoughts and Path.
I graciously am humbled if even only a single cat is reading this after accidentally opening it up on my friend’s laptop.
Yours forever Grateful.
