Over the past several years I have spent time talking to leaders of many faiths. From Priests, Pastors, Deacons to Monks, Swamis, and most of all my friends. Yes, even in my own way, talked to Krsna/God. I have compiled a list of conversations that to me, is how I see God answering my questions on my path. You may feel something different and that is okay; and you are more than welcome to share your path we me. Either way I hope you enjoy the View From My Path……

Every Path is Different

When I speak to members of every faith I wanted to know, “How they talk to God”. They told me a variation of the same thing.

You clean yourself (mentally, physically)
You position yourself. (Sit, Kneel, Stand)
You do something with your hands. (Rosary, hands in prayer, Japa bag)
You chant a certain prayer or mantra etc.
Then you talk to God.

Which ones are right?

All of them are right. Because those are the ways they prepare themselves to step off the train and back onto their path each time. That doesn’t mean that is how you talk to God. I didn’t at first, over time I have adopted my own rituals and practices to step on to my path. But that only works and starts to build, once you are on your path. Before that what did I do?

Something I still do from time to time when I get stuck on the Maya Express.

Say what you feel

The longer we sit on our train cart the more dust, dirt, and grime covers and darkens the cart windows and the train itself. This is the natural process of the Maya Express. Their job is to keep us in the world of material illusion.

Unless your train cart is rattled by the Path of Loss, many times we don’t even think of our Spiritual Path. So how can we talk to our Spiritual Guide?

How do we get back on our Path?

We talk to Them. Yup. That simple. Sort of.

My favorite time is when I’m in my car alone.

Just say the words OUT LOUD.
With full attention to what you are doing
With full intention of what you want to do

and

With full inflexion from the heart of how you are feeling.

Many people will have issues with that last part.

You want me to yell and scream and cry at God? You want me to cuss God out? That doesn’t sound right. Why would I do such a thing? Why would you suggest others do such a thing? Thats Blasphemy on my path! God would never accept me yelling at Him, why would I???

It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it

Someone very close to me tried to teach me the value of how we say things. I was very closed off to their teachings. It wasn’t until years later, did I realize their wisdom.

Because the only way to truly talk to your Spiritual Guide, is to talk to them in complete honesty with how you feel. If you talk nicely but your heart is full of anger, you aren’t talking to God, you are talking to friends at your table on the train cart. Only when you say the words out loud, EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL inside does it matter.

Your Spiritual Guide never is offended by how you speak to Them from your heart. The only thing They care about is the fact you are speaking to Them from your heart.

So if you need to Fraking cuss and scream at your Spiritual Guide. DO IT.

If you need to cry hysterically, fling your arms asking WHY WHY WHY? DO IT.

If you want to tell Them the dad joke you heard today and laugh at nothing. DO IT.

Rinse and Repeat

Will They answer right away?

Probably not. Remember those windows of your cart are covered with dust, and dirt, and grime. Our Spiritual Guide hears us, They are waiting for us on the path. Where is the path? How do we find the path?

What do we do next?

Do it again, and again, and again, and again, and again……

You pound the grime off those windows with your anger.

You wash away the dirt with your tears.

You vibrate the dust away with laughter from that funny story your kid told you.

Then one day, a spark of light will shine through and a key to the door leading to your path will appear. I can’t tell you how, when, where, why, what lifetime? Just keep doing it. Your path will open up eventually.

The View Opens up

Then as you step off for the first time, you are going to feel an exhilaration like no other. You will feel an energy you never felt before. You will be stepping back on to the Maya Express on its way to the Path of the Golden Retriever.

Yours always Grateful
