One of the first challenges I faced with myself when walking my path is being okay with being a hypocrite.
All those years of poking fun of vegans. Even once being “that a**hole” teasing my then teen about trying vegetarian diet.
Saying things I’d never do in my life with the church or Christianity. Even smaller things like some of my political views, music choices, entertainment choices.
All points of view I have had to come to terms with, when presented with facts and changed in the years since.
Knowledge truly is power; and the more knowledgeable about our own Spiritual Path we are on, the better choices we can make.
Maya Has Their Say!
Ego and Pride, are two weapons that the Maya Express will send often to deter us from growing inside.
Your Ego makes you afraid that saying to yourself “the past viewpoint taught to you was taught to you in error and maybe you are wrong” will make you appear weak to others.
Pride refuses to accept that maybe we are wrong and just maybe we could think a little more.
We are taught “apologizing is a sign of weakness.”
When in reality facing up to our own mistakes and owning them is a sign of strength not weakness.
Not admitting fault and not changing who you are, out of fear of being called a hypocrite, is cowardice.
You Hypocrite!
Doesn’t matter if it’s a political view, religious view, viewpoint on animal souls & food consumption, or something as small as putting pineapple on pizza, etc.
If you heart tells you it’s wrong and you don’t change it, simply because you are too afraid someone will call you a hypocrite, then you aren’t leaving the train for your path.
You’re still sitting on the train pretending to support spiritual path choices you know in your heart don’t feel right.
Instead we need to not only embrace change we need to embrace being called a hypocrite.
Rather than get offended, change your perspective of the word.
They are saying “you are a better person today, than you were yesterday and for some reason I am confused how to feel about it.”
Don’t withhold change, embrace it.
Own You
Embrace being a hypocrite to your past self.
Embrace leaving some of those train cart tables that you swore you would sit at forever.
Embrace your personal Spiritual Guide and Spiritual Path.
Embrace your true heart and soul.
Be A Hypocrite!
Yours Forever Grateful
